Understand How Shopping Works

When you have an open need, MakeLifeEasy helps you shop to cover it. Here's how:

1. MakeLifeEasy keeps your list of favorite vendors handy, along with bookmarks and ratings.
2. MakeLifeEasy suggests useful keywords to help you quickly search for products that cover the need. These keywords are created from your folders, so they're customized and specific to what you're looking for. Or, you can use your merchant's saved product lists to easily access the same product you purchased last time.
3. MakeLifeEasy will sometimes suggest a merchant that will have products to cover the need.
4. MakeLifeEasy provides buying advice (e.g., how much at what price), based on your past purchases, and on the past purchases of other members.

Please keep in mind some of the things we don't provide:

1. We're not a merchant and we don't sell any products or services. We don't stock anything, we don't ship anything, we don't want your credit card number, we don't collect any money. Also, we're not responsible for any beefs you have with merchants, though we will listen and we may alter our relationships with our merchants based on your feedback.
2. We don't provide price comparisons. There are some great sites out there that do that. Please check the links we provide.

MakeLifeEasy sometimes suggests merchants you can use to cover a need. These merchants are selected based on several factors.

1. For each top folder, we usually can suggest at least one well-known, established merchant that offers a broad range of products in that top folder, so that you're likely to find what you're looking for. This merchant will have prices that are somewhere between reasonable and excellent.
2. In some cases, we may suggest a warehouse store merchant, outlet store merchant, or wholesaler that has a narrower selection but may have better prices, often for bulk buys or discontinuing products.
3. For specific need folders, we may be able to suggest a merchant who specializes in that folder, and either provides excellent prices, or a very broad product line within that folder, or both.

We have affiliate relationships with some of the merchants, so they give us a commission on some items. This doesn't mean that you pay more; since merchants always pay for marketing one way or another.
