Start With a Mini-Application

Start with the mini-application that interests you: Shopping Lists or Home Inventory. Then you can "graduate" to the full MakeLifeEasy asset control system when you're ready. Or not; it's up to you.

Method 1: Dive In!

You can just dive in to MakeLifeEasy:

• To create and use a shopping list, just start entering needs (see the "How To" topics).
  
  
• To manage your home inventory, just start entering assets (see the "How To" topics).
  
  
• To use MakeLifeEasy for full asset control, start by following the steps described in Managing Supplies or Managing Durables.

We strongly recommend that you use the help topics along the way. Just press F2 at any point. If you don't use help, you'll probably make mistakes. It's not really a problem, but you'll probably have to make some revisions later as you learn how MakeLifeEasy works.

Method 2: Practice

If you're uncomfortable diving in, you can get your feet wet by practicing. When you create your account, MakeLifeEasy automatically creates a top folder named "Practice" with a single need named "Practice Need". You can use this folder to practice adding, updating, and deleting items until you get the hang of it. Add need folders, add needs, add assets, change data, and delete things. And, if you can remember, please delete this practice data when you're all done with it, including any practice receipts you create. This keeps your database and reports clean and accurate.
