You can expand and improve your consulting practice,
all while providing great service to your clients.
It's not hard to participate.
Most of your business practices will remain the same.
All you have to do is offer great service
to your clients and be a good community member.
From the moment you sign up and every day thereafter
you agree to honor these terms.
Here are the specifics terms you must understand and agree to:
- You agree to understand and accept the MakeLifeEasy "concept"
- You agree to provide excellent service to your clients
- You agree to stay in touch with your clients using MakeLifeEasy
to keep their wardrobe in "peak performance"
- You understand that you provide your own billing for your services
- You agree to work with us if problems arise
Aside from these, there are some More Terms and Conditions
that you agree with when you join.
You agree to understand and accept the MakeLifeEasy "concept"
The concept is stated for clients here.
Basically, clients use the MakeLifeEasy online wardrobe manager to manage their wardrobe goals,
and, in most cases, they form a continuous relationship with an image expert (you)
to take over managing the details.
So you'll need to understand and believe that
(1) online wardrobe management is key to an efficient, continuous relationship with your clients, and
(2) maintaining a more continuous relationship with your clients will be better all around.
That's the concept.
You agree to provide excellent service to your clients
This goes without saying, but we'll say it anyway: we only want excellent image consultants in our network.
That is, those who keep their clients happy and attract new clients.
You may have your own ways of doing business -- even quirky ways.
If your clients accept this and like it, go on doing it.
But poor service, poor advice, bad manners, unresponsiveness, etc. will get you removed from the network.
You agree to stay in touch with your clients using MakeLifeEasy
This has two elements (1) you agree to use MakeLifeEasy, and (2) you agree to stay in touch.
You agree to use MakeLifeEasy
Clients who have signed up with MakeLifeEasy have decided that they
want online wardrobe management to work for them.
MakeLifeEasy provides a powerful way to keep tabs on your clients' wardrobe needs and assets.
The wardrobe data is there, and it's very useful. But you'll need to use it.
So you must service your clients' needs using MakeLifeEasy.
That is, sign in frequently to see what's rising up on clients' shopping lists.
Or, if you're about to attend a trunk show or a big outlet sale,
sign in to see who might need what you're about to see. Call them and make recommendations, and so forth.
Agree to a short consulting engagement, say 1/2 hour to 4 hours, right then and there,
then follow through with it.
You agree to stay in touch with your clients
This is one area where you'll probably change your business practices for MakeLifeEasy clients.
The typical individual client relationship is a one-time engagement,
or possibly once every year or two.
With MakeLifeEasy, you want to keep your clients' wardrobes in "peak performance" all the time.
So develop an approach where you can provide ongoing "incremental" value to your clients.
That is, provide a little value every month or two or three.
This makes sense, since shopping opportunities occur year-round, not just whenever a client
decides to call you with an urgent need.
We'll be expanding on this topic in the near future, and we'll have consultants in the network share their experiences.
You understand that you provide your own billing for your services
We presently don't provide any billing services for image consultants.
We bill clients a small monthly fee for the use of the web site.
Your services are a separate matter.
We have definite plans to provide automatic billing for you, assuming enough consultants want this feature.
If you do, please contact us and place your vote for automatic billing!
You agree to work with us if problems arise
MakeLifeEasy is a new concept. Please don't expect us to have all the issues and problems worked out now.
Along with the successes, we expect some "growing pains". We want to hear your complaints (as well as compliments, we hope).
We'll be improving the system and the network rapidly, and we'll need your help.
"Complement in public, criticize in private."
Have you ever heard this wise manager's rule of thumb? Please use it.
Feel free to complain, but do so constructively. In particular, don't "bad-mouth" MakeLifeEasy.
Offer constructive criticism. We enjoy hearing all feedback, about what works well and what doesn't.
We certainly don't want to hide problems or stifle feedback -- we just want feedback that works.
Unconstructive, unsupportive complaining won't help us to help you and others,
and may get you removed from the network.
More Terms and Conditions
General User Agreement
You also agree to the general user agreement.
Please assure that you have read and understand this agreement.
MakeLifeEasy is an Information Service Only
Specifically, we are not an intermediary ("middleman") between you and your clients.
You have your own agreements between you and your clients.
Don't assume that anything is understood.
You and your client(s) must resolve any issues or disputes regarding payment,
quality or quantity of services rendered, or related issues, between yourselves.
We may decide to intervene to help to resolve any issues, at our sole discretion,
and under no obligation.
