Add Wardrobe Need
Use this page to quickly add a need to your database
(i.e., your shopping list):
Basic Data
- Enter the quantity of the item you need to keep on hand.
Usually this is simply "1". But you may decide that you want to keep more than one of something.
Example: 4 Ties, paisley or club.
- Select the department from which this need can be fulfilled.
- Select the article type. If more than one article type can be used,
choose the one you prefer.
- Enter the name of the need.
See Naming a need.
HINT: If you must, you can create a need called "(no need)" and use it for
assets you can't assign to a need. However, this is not recommended.
- (Optional) Enter the situation in which the need exists.
This helps your agent (and/or merchant(s)) to make better recommendations to cover
the need when it needs to be covered again.
(HINT: Ask your agent for help.)
- (Optional) If the need is part of a capsule, select the capsule name
(or press "+" to add a new capsule name).
Inventory Management Data (May Be Tricky!)
These items may be difficult for you to enter. The trick is to just enter something!
(HINT: If you really can't, just use the data that's already entered,
and go on. You can always change it later.)
- Enter how often you have this need. Just take your best guess!
- Enter how many times you think you can wear one of these items
before it's no longer suitable to cover the need. Just take your best guess!
If you have absolutely no idea, just leave it at 50.
- Enter how long this item will last
before it's no longer suitable to cover the need.
This is not how soon before the item wears out (that's handled above).
Usually this has to do with how long the item will be in style.
Just take your best guess!
If you have absolutely no idea, just leave it at one year.
