    This report shows what it costs you to cover your needs over a given time period. You can use this report to understand where your money goes. In some cases it can be used to provide a breakdown and document of taxable expenses. This report summarizes expenses by top folder. The Expense Details by Need page, accessible from this page, breaks down expenses by need within a top folder.

    Keep in mind that this report uses price data that you've entered, so if you haven't entered all the assets that cover a need (and their prices) the expenses for that need will be low. Use judgement when viewing the report.

    To use this report:

    1. Filter by a range of asset acquisition dates.
    2. (Optional) Filter by a top folder.
    3. (Optional) Click on "More..." to also filter by a Location, User, Purpose, and/or Seller.
    4. Press "Go" to summarize and display expenses for these filter conditions.

    The results of the search, if any, will be listed in the lower part of the page. This report shows a summary of expenses within each top folder. Using these results, you can:
