This report shows what it costs each day to satisfy each of your needs.

Have you ever heard someone tell you how much their product or service costs per day? For example, public television often tells you your membership costs you just 10 cents per day, or whatever. And isn't that a great deal for all you get? Well, is it or isn't it? You decide. But, hey, the concept is a great one. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to compare costs for everything you buy, side-by-side? Cost Per Day is the key, and the Cost Per Day Curve provides the solution.

Which do you pay more for: Bread or beer? Piano lessons or pasta? Pool cleaning or dining out? Your wardrobe or your stereo? Do you know how much you spend per day on everything (And how much you could be saving)? Does it make sense? How does your behavior meet your priorities in life? This is your main inventory control report. Check it out. You'll probably find some surprises.

You can use this report to understand how you're spending your money, and to change your spending and consumption habits to match your priorities. Since it puts the costs of all your needs on an equal footing (a "cost per day" basis), you can rank your needs by cost per day and decide to spend more or less on a need based on how/where it ranks against your other needs.

Keep in mind that this report uses price data that you've entered, so if you haven't entered all the assets that cover a need (and their prices) the cost per day for that need will be low. In some cases this makes the comparisons less useful; in other cases it's not a big deal. Use judgement when viewing the report.
