You can use this page to view and edit data about a single product.
The page has two panels of data:
Basic Data and
Management Data.

This panel displays basic data about the product. Included are:
When you're finished, press "OK: Save" to save the data or
"Cancel" to close the page without saving.
You can also press "Delete" to delete the product.
Management Data
This panel displays data about how this product may be managed in inventory when you acquire some and make an asset of it. See the Inventory Management Data Panel.
The product's inventory management data is not necessarily used for aging assets once they're purchased. When you add a new asset based on an existing product, the product's inventory management data is loaded (inherited) by default to use for the asset's inventory management data. You can use it "as is" or change it. Next, when you assign the asset to cover a need, you may (or may not) want to override the product's suggested inventory management data with the need's inventory management data. Finally, when you save the new asset, it will use its own inventory management data - from whichever source you chose - to age itself.
So, in summary, you can use this data to provide default
inventory management data for new assets you purchase consisting of this product.
