The Browse Needs page provides a level-by-level view of your need tree,
a hierarchy of your folders and needs.
You can use this page to navigate and modify your need tree.
You use this page in different ways depending on what you want to do:
To browse for folders and needs:
- Click on one of the top folder names listed after
"Browse".
The results will display in the lower part of the window.
To search for folders and needs:
- Enter keyword(s) to search for folders and needs with the keyword(s).
- Check "exact match" to match the keyword(s) exactly as typed.
- Select a top folder to filter for only folders and needs under that top folder.
- Press "Go" to perform the search. The results will display in the lower part of the window.
Once you get some results, you can do the following:
- If "Parent folder:" appears at the top of the list, you can click on one
of the upper-level folder names to move to that folder in the tree.
- If the up-arrow button (
) appears on a list item, click on it to move "up" one level in the tree.
- If the down-arrow button (
) appears on a list item, click on it to move "down" (or "in") one level in the tree.
- Click on a folder name to display the Need Folder Properties page.
- If the word "Need" appears before the name, the item is a need.
Click on the need name to display the Need Properties page.
If you have multiple needs with the same name,
you can view the Need Properties pages for each to see what's different about them,
if anything.
- If "Add new folder:" appears at the end of the list,
you can type in a folder name and click on "Quick add"
to immediately add a subfolder under the parent folder.
- If "Add new need:" appears at the end of the list,
you can type in a need name and click on "Quick add"
to immediately add a need under the parent folder.
